enable sources in /etc/apt/sources.list
build git from source with openssl:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install build-essential fakeroot dpkg-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev
sudo apt build-dep git
mkdir ~/git-openssl
cd ~/git-openssl
apt source git
ls -l
cd git-*
