Why not the Proxmox Installer?
- The Proxmox installer does not allow for manual partitioning and wipes the whole disk
- Debian allows manual partitioning
Installation of Debian
- https://www.debian.org/download.en.html
- AMD64 netinst
- (Non-graphical) Install (Non-expert)
- Only install packages:
- SSH server
- Standard system utilities
Config basics
su apt update apt upgrade apt install sudo mc nmap powertop fail2ban git apt remove os-prober
- sudo visudo
%sudo ALL=(ALL:ALL) ALL marcluer ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL
